This could be a good time to consider purchasing a HALOT 3D printer from Creality.
Creality is well-known for their extensive history with low-cost desktop FFF 3D printers. Starting years ago with the CR-10 that persuaded many to enter the world of desktop 3D printing, the company then launched the Ender series, which has become extremely popular and could very well be the most prolific brand of 3D printers on the planet.
But aside from the company’s FFF products, Creality also makes a series of very competent resin 3D printers. The HALOT series first appeared 18 months ago with the HALOT-SKY.
Since then the company has gradually added additional machines to the HALOT series, which include more advanced features than many other low-cost resin 3D printers. Currently there are six models in the line:
- HALOT-RAY
- HALOT-ONE
- HALOT-ONE Pro
- HALOT-ONE Plus
- HALOT-LITE
- HALOT-SKY
The machines share several advanced features, but the most important is no doubt the Integral Light Source. This is the light engine that illuminates the bottom of the resin tank to solidify each layer of the print.
Many approaches are used for illumination because it is critical to ensure the light arrives at the resin tank perpendicular to the print layer. If it doesn’t, then the quality of the print can be compromised as the light strays to the side and solidifies resin that should not be solidified.
Most desktop resin 3D printers use a mirror projection system with LEDs called “Parallel Emission”. This does work, but according to Creality it achieves about 73% evenness of lighting across the print surface.
Creality’s Integral Light Source, however, is able to achieve up to 90% surface lighting evenness, which should result in better quality prints. The more accurate light engine also implies better resolution on prints.
The main feature difference between the several HALOT models is the build volume. Here are the most popular HALOT machines and their respective build volumes:
- HALOT-ONE: 127 x 80 x 160 mm
- HALOT-ONE Pro: 130 x 122 x 160 mm
- HALOT-ONE Plus: 172 x 102 x 160 mm
Creality has sized the LCD monochrome screens used in each model to provide appropriate resolution. In other words, the larger the print area, the more pixels are provided.
The new is that these three models are currently being sold at considerable discounts in October. The large HALOT-ONE Plus, normally priced at US$399 is on sale for only US$339. However, the discounted pricing for the HALOT-ONE Plus is available only until October 18th.
The HALOT-ONE Pro, normally sold for US$349, is on sale for only US$174.50, an incredibly low price. This pricing is available until October 30th.
The most notable sale is for the HALOT-ONE model, which normally sells for US$289. During October, this very capable desktop resin 3D printer can be purchased for only US$144.50! This is perhaps the lowest price we’ve yet seen for a competent resin 3D printer from a major manufacturer, and it’s available at that price until October 30th.
If you’re looking for a good resin 3D printer from Creality, this could be a very good time to check out the HALOT line.
