In its 3rd year, more than 2,000 attendees are anticipated to be part of the free, premier virtual additive manufacturing event of the year!
This year the event is co-produced by Women in 3D Printing and SME. On May 17, 2022, was the announcement of their partnership. Industry leaders SME, a non-profit professional association dedicated to advancing manufacturing, and Women in 3D Printing (Wi3DP), a global organization with a mission to close the gender gap in Additive Manufacturing (AM), formed a partnership to attract and build a diverse next-gen workforce to advance the AM industry. The TIPE Conference is one of their initiatives in 2023 that supports their shared goal of offering AM engagement and education year-round, including through digital platforms.
The inspirational all-women agenda is packed with 30 conference hours over 3 days, including hundreds of speakers, 4 tracks of content, and a career fair. The 4 tracks are:
- The Technology track is the how behind the industry: Itās the hardware, software, materials, and research driving the next generation of additive manufacturing capabilities.
- The Industry track dives into the what of additive manufacturing: Itās the use cases. What applications drive additive manufacturing adoption and where is 3D printing being used today.
- The People track highlights the who behind the progress. Itās celebrating the leaders and emerging figures within the 3D printing industry as well as exploring diversity, international business relations, training, recruiting, and other workforce-focused issues.
- The Economics track underscores the why behind the rise of additive manufacturing. Itās highlighting the business cases for adopting 3D printing: return on investment, time and cost savings, sustainability, and improving the global economy
In addition, the conference will feature a Virtual Career Fair featuring leading companies in the AM industry who are actively recruiting for open positions. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and connect with employers, meet with recruiters, and apply for a variety of positions.
