It’s perhaps the largest commercial online marketplace for 3D models today. Operating like eBay, creators upload their creations and peg a price on them. Consumers seeking models can peruse oceans of models to find the perfect model. TurboSquid operates in a familiar way, with shopping carts, downloads, affiliate programs, forums and searches.
Most models are offered in a variety of formats, the most popular being 3D Studio, Cinema 4D, Autodesk, etc., but many are also offered in .STL format. TurboSquid also offers file format conversion services, if necessary. Are these models suitable for 3D printing? Not necessarily, but there are other tools that can certify and adjust these models for correct 3D printing. Note that these models often include significant textures, which could be kinda hard to print, so 3D printing results might not look precisely like the 3D preview image.
