NextFab Studio opens a new workshop for innovators today in Philadelphia at the University City Science Center. The workshop comprises some 3,600 square feet of space filled with various modern manufacturing tools, including laser cutters and of course 3D printers.

Use of the facility, which operates much like a neighbourhood gym, is by membership, which you can obtain here.

This is a very cool cooperative venture between the University and NextFab with the common goal to “bring the arts and technology educational and innovation opportunities to the broader community”.
