A startup company is opening up a new SLA 3D printer manufacturer to North America.

I received a message from Paul Spoliansky, who had previously been with Axtra3D, a manufacturer of a very interesting line of resin 3D printers. After departing from Axtra3D, Spoliansky founded a new company, VoxTech3D, based in Las Vegas.

VoxTech3D appears to be a reseller of 3D tech. There are plenty of resellers already on the market, so what makes VoxTech3D unique?

They’ve partnered with a 3D printer manufacturer from Asia, Soonser, and intend on reselling their professional SLA equipment in the West.

I hadn’t heard of Soonser previously, which isn’t surprising: in China there are dozens of very large 3D printer manufacturers that don’t do business outside of China. Only a few have made a big splash in the West, but it seems that more are coming.

One of them is Soonser. The company offers a line of industrial SLA 3D printers, and one LCD device for the dental industry.

Their SLA products are of most interest to us, and include:

  • Mars Pro 600, build volume 600 x 600 x 400 mm
  • Mars Pro 850, 850 x 850 x 500 mm
  • Mars Pro 1600, 1600 x 800 x 600 mm
  • Smart 300H, 300 x 300 x 250 mm
  • Smart 400H, 400 x 400 x 300 mm

The larger devices seem fully equipped with automation and sensors, and even sport a “Grade 00 Marble Platform” for increased stability. They also have a patented system for intelligent laser spot called “VarioSpot” that is said to increase print speeds by up to 3X.

Soonser has been around for over ten years and clearly has considerable experience in building advanced SLA systems for industry. We don’t know the price points on these systems, but it’s quite likely they will be highly competitive.

This is an interesting move by VoxTech3D, as it immediately provides them with a competent product that could be of interest for many applications.
