Rapid+TCT returns once again in 2025.

The annual 3D print trade show is the largest occurring in North America, and this year it’s expected that there will be north of 400 exhibitors participating, with many thousands of attendees from across the continent and beyond.

This year the event returns to Detroit, located at Huntington Place, the major convention center in the city. Rapid+TCT has been at this location several times previously, and it’s a terrific venue — and also adjacent to many auto manufacturers and suppliers.

Our team will be in attendance, attempting to visit as many exhibitors as possible during the three days of the event, April 8-10.

Exhibiting will be the major players in the industry, which will all operate large-scale displays showing equipment, software, materials, and more. However, there will also be countless smaller and newer players seeking visibility. Often you’ll see new technologies first shown to the public at events like Rapid+TCT.

In fact, many manufacturers schedule their most important announcements of the year to coordinate with Rapid+TCT. This allows visitors to take a look at the new equipment or materials firsthand while visiting the show. This is also a reason for our attendance: we get to see the latest developments in the technology.

The show is far more than just the exhibitors, however. There are more than 140 technical presentations and keynotes, often delivered by SME members. From these attendees can gain valuable insight into the current state of additive manufacturing and best practices.

Of particular interest is the opportunities for networking at Rapid+TCT. I find that a good chunk of the intelligence available is found in conversations with others in the AM industry. Rapid+TCT has formal networking events during the day and evenings, and there are always private events organized by exhibitors. You’ll be busy all day long!

It’s relatively easy to find other attendees, as there is an app where you can contact others as required.

Finally, we’ve organized a free Expo pass for Rapid+TCT for Fabbaloo readers, if you’re in the area and want to check out the latest 3D print technologies.
