ELEGOO launched a new community program they call “ELEGOO With Her”.
The program intends to assist women in the 3D printing world, which is largely dominated by men. The goals of the program are:
Promoting gender equality and inclusivity in technology
Inspiring and empowering future female innovators
Fostering innovation through gender diversity
ELEGOO explains:
“At Elegoo, we are committed to promoting gender equality and inclusivity in the technology sector, especially within the 3D printing industry. This dedication stems from our belief that every individual, regardless of gender, should have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to the advancement of technology.”
How is this done? ELEGOO, with partners Chitubox and Kexcelled, will select 30 individuals to join the program. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their “creativity, feasibility, and substance of their applications.”
Successful candidates will be provided with a number of powerful benefits, including:
- Professional online workshop that will provide training on effective use of 3D printers, 3D modeling and design, methods of launching a 3D print business, and “much more”
- Long-term support for evaluating career paths, training, or other aspects related to 3D printing
- Hardware, software, and materials including the latest products
- Participation in a community where females can interact and share knowledge about 3D printing
ELEGOO has arranged for four experienced female mentors to work with successful candidates:
- Anouk Wipprecht, the notable 3D fashion designer
- Brigette Kock, a modular fashion designer and educator
- Linette Manuel, CEO of Makeful, an education platform
- Batoul al-Rashdan, fashion designer and founder of Studio B.O.R. and Bio.B.O.R
Applications are open until February 5th, 2025, and it’s not a long form to fill out. However, interested participants should carefully compose their entries to ensure they get noticed.
This is a terrific program by ELEGOO that will help break down barriers in the industry, opening it up for all to participate.
