There’s been a significant development with Creality’s line of resin 3D printers.
For many years, Creality has produced inexpensive desktop devices for both FFF and resin 3D technologies. However, recently, the company’s FFF devices have emerged as the key product line for the company.
Meanwhile, PioCreat was launched a year after Creality as a spin-off company by one of the founders of Creality. The intent was to have industrial equipment in the PioCreat brand, with Creality handling the consumer side.
PioCreat markets a wide range of industrial 3D printers, including dental 3D printers, medical devices, “letter printers”, jewelry systems, large-scale pellet systems, and even a desktop pellet machine.
In a surprising twist, Creality has transferred their entire HALOT series of resin 3D printers to PioCreat, where they will continue to be sold.
Currently, there are a number of HALOT machines remaining on Creality’s website, but it’s likely they will disappear soon and reappear on PioCreat’s site.
This could mark the end of resin 3D printing for Creality, which has seen interest in their FFF devices skyrocket in the past two years. The company’s K series of machines has proven extremely popular.
Evidently, this interest has caused Creality to focus more strongly on their most important products, leaving PioCreat to continue on with the HALOT series.
Is this really the end of the HALOT series? By no means — PioCreat intends to continue development of the resin 3D printer line. I strongly suspect they may be announcing a new device very soon, indicating active product development likely continues.
This is a bit of a change for PioCreat because the HALOT series is definitely a “consumer” level device, unlike the rest of their products. However, we now see HALOT resin 3D printers appearing as a new category of device on their website.
Providing support to consumers is quite a bit different than supporting industrial buyers, so PioCreat will have no doubt reorganized some of its support systems.
