We had a look at the powerful F300 professional 3D printer from HBOT 3D.

The company is one of many that are based in Poland, and has been around for over seven years. Currently they are on their second generation of equipment, which is specifically designed for industrial engineers.

They’re not a small company, as they have around 30 people in their research and development company alone, and do considerable business with military organizations.

The F300 includes a number of features that place it squarely in the professional desktop 3D printer market:

  • Entirely closed build chamber for capturing heat during printing
  • Glass/Kapton print surface, suitable for many engineering materials
  • Large 300 x 300 x 300mm build volume
  • Ability to swap nozzles to allow finely detailed (but slower) prints or large, fast, less detailed prints
  • Layer size ranging from 0.2mm to 1.0mm
  • Automated calibrations
  • Rigid welded aluminum frame to inhibit vibrations, weighing 28kg
  • Ability to 3D print at least 10 different materials include ASA, TPU, ABS, PETG, etc

And there’s one other interesting aspect: this machine is apparently NATO-certified, meaning it could be sold far more easily to multiple militaries on both sides of the Atlantic.

The F300 is priced at €6,500 (USD$8,100), which should not be a problem for any military interested in this machine.

And that should be of great interest to any reseller who’s interested in picking up a new product for sale in their region – this one has a very unique attribute you won’t normally find on many other professional 3D printers.
