This week’s selection is Evan Kuester’s Ivania 2, a prosthetic arm.

Kuester is currently a student working on his Master’s degree in Architecture at the California College of the Arts. He’s recently been working in digital fabrication, focusing on generated designs, of which the Ivania 2 certainly is.

It’s our understanding that the arm was designed in Rhino3D using the Grasshopper plugin for generating the complex structures, then 3D printed in ABS plastic.

The design is certainly brilliant, but we like it simply because of the image above. It’s made for someone loved.
