This week’s selection is the fascinating RYST wearable iPhone stand by designer Cal Craven.
Ireland-based Craven explains how the design works:
RYST is a 3D printed wrist band that can easily be taken off and used as an iPhone stand. Unconventionally, RYST allows your iPhone to rest at two different angles, one designed more for typing and the other for watching, all you have to do is choose a side.
Indeed it can be used in two configurations as a phone stand. Here’s one mode:
And here’s the other:
This overcomes the problem where you need to prop up your device in a meeting, say, to overcome reflections from a light or window and don’t have anything handy to do so. Theoretically, the RYST is always on your wrist.
And it has a very cool product name.
The RYST is available for purchase at Craven’s site at a cost of €15 (USD$16).
