The manufacturer of a new 3D printer from Poland hopes to expand sales worldwide.
3DKreator is a startup company based in Krakow, Poland, where the young team of engineers from the Silesian University of Technology and AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. The team developed the first prototype of the Kreator Motion in 2014 and subsequently began marketing the product through a small network of resellers and distributors.
The Kreator Motion has somewhat better than average specifications:
- A moderate build volume of 200 x 200 x 190mm, with a heated print surface permitting use of multiple materials
- Minimum layer size can be as small as 0.06mm, better than the typical 0.10mm seen on many other machines
- Print speed is impressive at 130mm/second, about twice as fast as other typical machines
- WiFi connection means you can send your print from a PC to the printer, but we suspect you must maintain this connection throughout the print, so we would advise using the SD card interface instead
The machine is currently for sale in limited areas. Naturally, the company has focused on their home base of Poland, where no less than nine outlets are distributing the product. They’ve also made arrangements with iGo3D to sell the printer at their online store.
The price? €1,749 (USD$1,900). Adding in two optional components (which we would suggest are really required), the heated bed and enclosing print chamber doors, the price rises to €1,867 (USD$2,030).
