We managed to test some really amazing 3D printer filament from newcomer Feelcolor.
Previously we’ve written about the new company, which is a joint venture that combines 3D printing expertise with long-term experience with plastics manufacturing. The result is a company that produces some truly amazing 3D printer filament.
We tested some filament samples and found them to be highly consistent in diameter, making prints quite reliable, particularly on 3D printers sensitive to varying filament diameter. Our prints invariably turned out very well.
Here you can see an example of the CTRL-V calibration test, and it is one of the best we’ve produced with a filament based 3D printer. (Of course, if you print this with higher-end equipment, you get far better results, but most people don’t have access to such machines.)
Here is a detail view of the CTRL-V test showing of the fine structures made with this filament. Note the excellent bridging and crisp angles present in the image.
We tested Feelcolor’s PLA and ABS materials and found both to be of similar quality and color.
Aside from the very good physical characteristics of this filament, we found the colors themselves to be particularly vibrant, more than you’d typically find in 3D printer filament. This is one of the key focus areas of Feelcolor, as they leverage their expertise in plastics manufacturing.
For good-quality prints and some terrific colors, you can’t go wrong with Feelcolor.
