New on Kickstarter is the Mamba3D, a new 3D printer designed by MyMatics in The Netherlands.

This 3D printer uses a straightforward design that we’ve seen before, but the difference is the heavy use of metal components. The frame is laser-cut, anodized aluminum. As you can see in the images, it’s a pretty robust machine.

The Mamba3D offers a 200 x 200 x 200mm build volume and a 1.75mm filament extruder capable of 300C, suggesting it will be able to print ABS as well as PLA. The initial unit will come pretty bare-bones, not having a display, SD card slot or heated bed, but will be able to add those later.

You can get your hands on a Mamba3D for between USD$860-1000, depending on the package you select from their Kickstarter page.
