There were a number of new 3D printers on display at Euromold, including this one, the CB-Printer. Designed by Bartosz Cieluch in Poznan, Poland, the CB-Printer is targeted at “domestic use and for small and medium size businesses”.
The CB-Printer is a RepRap-style device with open sides. The distinguishing feature is solid engineering using all-metal parts. No wood or plastic is present in the design, leading to a very robust unit.
The robust design is reflected in the devices specifications:
- Large build volume of 200 x 200 x 180mm
- Layer thickness of a mere 0.1mm
- Extruder velocity of 50-300mm/second
CB-Printer’s Piotr Krygowski explained the nature of the machine in this audio clip.

I like that this is all metal and the circuits look interesting, 4 very small driver boards for the motors by the looks of it
